I wouldn’t describe myself as a normal guy. But I’m no unique snowflake either. My name is Jerry Silfwer and I guess one could say that learning cool stuff is sort of a hobby of mine.
I was born in Sweden in 1979. I’ve lived in Munich, London and New York. Now I live in Stockholm. I’m partner and COO at social media agency. I have a couple of university degrees and I’ve served in the military, which in Sweden isn’t anything extraordinary at all.
I’m married to Lisah, a broadcasting journalist and news anchor, but we haven’t really gotten around to kids just yet. I’ve been blogging about social media marketing and PR for quite a while.
Maybe I’m an over-achiever?
Maybe, maybe not. I prefer not to think of myself that way. But I do like learning. Now, maybe you think that I had excellent grades in school, but I didn’t. A bit above average sure, but nothing spectacular. If I’m not inspired, I can’t for the life of me even memorize a phone number.
But when it comes to learning and personal development, I feel this strange hunger for more. I can’t explain it. I know that I’m a bit of an introvert, but I do love explorations and adventures. As long as they take place in my head.
The idea behind this blog came about when I realized that it was time to have more fun. Not crazy fun as prescribed by our adrenaline crazed society, but adventurous intellectual fun. So that’s when I got this simple idea:
How about logging life-hacking progress renaissance-style?
Well, let’s see where this rabbit hole goes.
